 Lots of files...LOTS of pages....thousands and thousands in pdf format, and hundreds in html format...all ready to read...on the CD. Links to the actual CONTENT will not work from these pages (except for the FEMA/Red Cross ones as mentioned above). They ARE fully working on the CD, which is NOW produced and sitting in a large box on my desk. This collection is for the most part created for the "average citizen". FEMA training courses for you and me are here, as well as advanced courses for the trained First Responder. Students, teachers, EMT's, municipal and county Emergency Management personnel, federal level EMA groups ( listening out there, FEMA? ), survival and preparedness groups, Civil agencies such as the Civil Air Patrol, and much, much more will find the archives here a great resource, and in some cases, a starting point for collecting even MORE materials to bring together in to this library. Data compiled here can lead into ENTIRE training programs at ALL levels of society. Entire radio shows, TV programs, and MORE can use this material to dig further into all the various sections of basic civil defense and create an even larger pool of training materials. In other words, if nothing else, these pages represent a starting point on TOTAL SITUATIONAL AWARENESS...for anything. 
Yes, this is a TASTE of the amount of material I have on hand...in actuallity several gigabytes in digital format, and TENS of thousands of pages still in HARDCOPY format to be scanned and digitized for you in the near future. You will note within the pages from the CD some SEARCH functions. Yes, you can search for files, phrases, and info WHILE ON THE CD... Will you find that on ANY OTHER CIVIL DEFENSE ORIENTED CD ROM being sold right now? No. But it is on THIS cd. I'll let you know now...This is just the FIRST CD Rom of many. BUT...I don't have everything Civil Defense related...I am still looking and collecting for this project. If you find that you have SOMETHING I don't have on this cd, or listed as coming in my WANTED list ( found in the Civil Defense NOW pdf file within), then please contact me at Rafleet@survivalring.org, with info on what you have. All that share data will receive mention in future releases, and COPIES of future CD Roms. 
What is in THIS subdirectory of the SurvivalRing website? Image files, navigation buttons and programming in javascript, background info for you to learn more about where all this stuff originated from, and a BUNCH of weblinks to OTHER sites of interest. Content-wise, well, some will come here, again FEMA and Red Cross related, but what is NOT already on the Civil Defense Now website pages and downloadable from there, will still be THERE, so go visit it at Civil Defense Now!. 
What is NOT in this directory? HUNDREDS of megabytes of documents that I don't have webspace available to put them all ONLINE...which is why I created the CD in the first place...to SHARE what I have. I am paying for 350 megs of webspace and a lot of it is used for all my CURRENT downloads, and some of the NEW items to come. Again, this site presentation is to give you an IDEA of what the cd nav is like, and what IS on the full CD. Remember one thing...multimedia CD Rom presentations usually use liberal amounts of graphics, and from a LOCAL source ( the cd, a harddrive, etc. ) the pages will LOAD quite fast. Here, on the web, these same pages will take a bit to load...just be patient...all graphics ARE optimized on the cd, and here...they are the EXACT same files on both. This FREE PEEK at what the cd has is to give YOU the info YOU need to make a decisive action either to PURCHASE the CD, DONATE materials or funds, or study a bit more to finalize your needs. One more thing...this very PERSONAL project has taken on GLOBAL implications of FAMILY SAFETY since the EVENTS of September 11th, 2001. I started the BACKGROUND work, document collection, and scanning of original US civil defense public domain docs back in 1997. The docs I have created of government preparedness manuals meant for consumer consumption are ONLY to SHARE LIFE-SAVING INFORMATION. Yes, buying the originals has cost me a LOT of PERSONAL money. I intend to KEEP buying more, to grow the project, grow the database, and grow the ability to do more, faster, and better. Your purchase of the cd, donation of whatever you can, or help in spreading the word of the availability of this material collection has the possibility of saving MILLIONS of lives in the near or distant future by putting EVERYTHING online. I can't afford it personally right now, but intend to someday as incoming funds allow. See what others are doing with MY material by doing some internet searches. Check out EBAY and do searches for "fallout shelter", "civil defense" or associated searches. You will find folks selling homemade CD's of info that I created, and that they downloaded from MY website, as well as data files from all over the web, to profit off it without putting anything back into the COMMUNITY at large. Be different...support someone like me who is actually CREATING new files for you to have...not just regurgitating someone ELSES files only. THIS page you are now reading is NOT on the cd. The NEXT page is what you will see at CD bootup ( and yes, it autoboots for you! ). So, to start your discovery of Civil Defense Now's first cd rom project, just .....
